For this edition of Almabase Spotlights featuring Public Universities, we shine the spotlight on The University of Georgia and their incredible Bulldog 100 list, which celebrates top businesses operated or owned by the University’s alumni.

💡 An Idea to Honor the Top 100 Businesses by the University’s Alumni

The University of Georgia’s Bulldog 100 is a yearly celebration of the fastest growing businesses that are owned or operated by their alumni. Each year, the University receives hundreds of different nominations from alumni, out of which 100 small and medium businesses make it to the cut based on their CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) over the last three years. Bulldog 100 2021 recognized the top 100 fastest-growing organizations from over two dozen industries, including non-profits, healthcare, and software.

Besides being a great honor to be a part of this prestigious list, the honorees get access to an exclusive resource kit, a press release, and even a badge of recognition. The Alumni Association usually hosts a grand celebration for the Bulldog 100 on campus, where they count down the ranked list to ultimately reveal the No. 1 fastest-growing business. The University resorted to the virtual format for 2021 Bulldog 100 celebrations due to the pandemic to continue the tradition. We love how the University’s alumni-centric approach of recognizing their alumni’s achievements well after graduation is helping businesses thrive. ❤
